One exchange. One international learning community.

Art for a Greener Tomorrow is an Erasmus+ KA152 Youth Exchange designed to bring young people together through creativity, environmental awareness and intercultural learning.

Hosted in Altamura, Italy, from 5 to 13 August 2026, the project created an international learning environment where participants from different European countries could meet, exchange experiences and explore new ways of contributing to a more sustainable society.

Throughout the Youth Exchange, participants were involved in a dynamic programme based on non-formal education, combining artistic expression with environmental education. Creative workshops, group challenges, discussions, intercultural activities and hands-on sessions encouraged young people to reflect on climate change, sustainable lifestyles, responsible consumption, recycling and the protection of natural resources.

01

Environmental awareness

Exploring sustainability as a shared responsibility and a space for positive action.

02

Creative expression

Transforming recycled and reused materials into visual messages that can inspire others.

03

Intercultural dialogue

Sharing traditions, challenging stereotypes and building meaningful European connections.

04

Youth participation

Developing teamwork, communication, leadership, critical thinking and active citizenship.

Art as a tool for change

Creating a greener message together.

A central element of the project was the use of art as a tool for social and environmental change. Participants experimented with recycled and reused materials, developed creative ideas and worked together to transform environmental messages into visual and artistic forms capable of inspiring others.

Beyond its environmental dimension, the project strongly promoted intercultural dialogue, inclusion and European cooperation. Intercultural evenings and collaborative activities gave participants the opportunity to present their cultures, discover new traditions, challenge stereotypes and build meaningful connections with young people from different backgrounds.

The experience also supported the development of key personal and professional competences, including teamwork, communication, creativity, critical thinking, leadership and active citizenship.

Art for a Greener Tomorrow demonstrated that sustainability can be approached not only as a challenge, but also as an opportunity for creativity, cooperation and positive action. By empowering young people to express themselves, share ideas and take responsibility for their communities, the project aimed to inspire a new generation of Europeans ready to contribute to a greener, more inclusive and sustainable future.
